Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Description Center Valley, PA or Miami, FL - As a member of the Business Intelligence Team, the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst role will lead the support for a given business unit as it relates to all of their Reporting and Analytics needs. The incumbent will leverage all BI tools available including the development of custom solutions involving SQL, VBA and other programming languages. He/She will work to identify gaps in data, gathering technical requirements and working closely with the BW Development team for addition to the BW landscape. The incumbent participates in testing, data validation, and support various launch and maintenance processes. He/She ensures timely and accurate response to user requests for technical assistance, effective use, and training.  Olympus embraces diversity and inclusion. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, our policies as well as our values prohibit unlawful discrimination based on an employee's or applicant's race, color, sex, age, physical or mental disability, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, marital status, genetic information, ancestry, military or veteran status, or any other federal, state or local protected classification.  EOE Minorities/Females/Veterans/Disabled At Olympus, we are True to You!   Job Duties: Document, design, develop, implement and maintain reporting and analytics solutions using available tools such as SAP BOBJ or customized solutions using MS Access (VBA/SQL).  Work with the business to identify gaps in data by gathering technical requirements and working closely with the BW development team to add missing data to the BW landscape.  Develop a detailed understanding of SAP and Legacy data tables, data structures and master data concepts in order to better support the business.  Develop and maintain standard reporting publications and ad-hoc reporting environments that empower end-users to easily analyze and visualize their areas of responsibility.  Take the initiative to learn all existing SAP BI tools including Web Intelligence, Dashboards, Design Studio, Information Design Tool (SQL) and BEx Query Designer.  Work closely with the business to analyze their processes in order to determine if additional reporting functionality could be implemented to solve key business challenges.  Research and suggest new BI tools that may better support the overall needs of Olympus.  Develop mobile analytics for senior management using SAP Business Objects mobile applications for deployment using the SAP BI app for the iPad.  Coordinate with the Business Warehouse team to make sure all data models are accurate, timely and contain necessary information for the business.  Consult with users regularly to assess the performance of all reporting and analytics tools to ensure it meets the needs of the business.  Perform all other related duties as assigned.   Job Requirements: (ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in Economics, Business, Finance or Computer Science. Minimum of 5 years IT/Programming experience (VBA, SQL, etc.) is required. Minimum of 3 years functional business and/or data analysis experienced is required. Minimum of 2 years developing complex SQL queries is required. Minimum of 2 years supporting BI Tools (SAP, IBM, Qlikview, Tableau, etc.) is required.  Expert level knowledge of relational data models and databases is required. Advanced MS Access and Excel skills (VBA, Macros, etc.) are required.  Ability to understand business needs and system capabilities and combine that knowledge to develop efficient and effective solutions is necessary.   Ability to lead and prioritize the BI development for an entire business area is required.  Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills are essential.   Experience gathering business requirements and developing technical requirements for a data warehousing development team is preferred.  Experience analyzing and validating data models is required.  General knowledge of SAP ECC, CRM and BW is preferred.  Experience with SAP BOBJ (Webi, IDT, Design Studio, etc.) suite of tools is preferred. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
