Manager, Content and Design

Job Duties::
As a Content and Design Manager working on the Consumer Products Group (CPG) Marketing Communications team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. You will contribute to our mission by understanding our products and their benefits, then supporting the design and publication of web, email, and marketing content, while ensuring brand and messaging consistency throughout. In a typical day, you will:
Graphic Design - Digital and Print Overall:
Align with direction from CPG marketing teams to independently envision and design digital media, ensuring consistency of branding, messaging, and aesthetic, across all CPG products.
Support CPG?s marketing and sales objectives via new product launches, promotions, and brand and product messaging for North America.
Maintain awareness of communication trends and technology within graphics industry to develop creative solutions and benchmarks competitors? communication methods and designs.
Work closely with internal design teams, external agencies, and IT to optimize digital communications.
CPG Web Page Design and Maintenance:
Work closely with all CPG marketing teams, including the Category Product Managers, to manage content, copywriting, and design of Olympus web pages in alignment with Product Marketing strategy and branding goals and guidelines.
Work with internal design and IT teams for final coding and activation.
Retailer Web Content:
Manage web content and digital assets of key retail partners, working to provide accuracy and consistency in product information, messaging, and design so that all Olympus CPG web communication is aligned.
Support customer journey management by actively managing the placement of assets and information across distribution channels.
Consumer Emails/Digital Newsletters:
Work with Product Marketing to create, design, and execute consumer emails and other digital communication to facilitate customer journey management; communication supports product launches, product and photography education, and targeted vertical marketing.
Digital Sales Assets and Advertising:
Align with Product Marketing positioning and project direction to plan and concept digital and print advertising with Trade Marketing.
Print Design:
Concept, maintain, and revise sales collateral, product packaging, and product brochures in partnership with Trade Marketing, internal design teams, and external agencies.
Timeline Management:
Work with CPG Marketing and design teams to determine scope and timeline of design projects.
Complete graphic design work and manages progress to meet deadlines.
Job Requirements::
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s Degree in Graphic Design & Illustration or similar field of study, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Multimedia Design and Digital Communication.
Ability to travel domestically, about 10%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with various communication media and typography including print, multimedia, and web, for the production of web and digital content, email and social marketing, and promotional and sales communication.
Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
In-depth photographic and HTML knowledge and experience highly desired.
Background in consumer electronics and retail specialty markets a plus.
Strong creative design skills to enable independent project execution, successfully meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to manage details and above average proofreading skills.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with all levels of management throughout the organization.
Hands-on project management skills with the proven ability to concurrently manage multiple tasks under aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment.
Ability to identify and evaluate creative ideas and communication, focusing on those that will create a competitive advantage.
Comfortable working with a team, cross-functionally and with all levels of the organization, including but not limited to Field Sales, Product Marketing, internal creative teams, and external agencies.

The incumbent shapes the design aesthetic for all Marketing Communication projects, focusing on digital design trends and mediums, bridging Product Marketing direction and brand guidelines while supporting defined business objectives across all CPG product categories.
