Senior Manager, Community Affairs

Job Duties::
As a Sr. Manager, Community Affairs working on the Public Affairs team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. You will contribute to our mission by strengthening our brand and corporate reputation, fostering employee engagement, and driving meaningful impact in the communities in which our employees live and work. A typical day for you will include:
Developing and implementing strategic plan for Olympus? Corporate Philanthropy (non-grant) national and local programs and initiatives designed to align with our global brand purpose, core values and make a meaningful impact in communities where our employees live and work.
Partnering with key internal stakeholders to develop strategic plans for Olympus Involved Employee programs, which will be activated by the Employee Experience and Corporate Events teams.
Developing and maintaining a community relations strategy, action plan and timelines for Center Valley, PA as well as 15-20 other Olympus locations throughout the United States.
Managing and maintaining positive strategic relationships and leverage relevant partnership opportunities with medical trade associations such as AdvaMed as well as key community associations such as Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC), Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and LVPartnership.
Supporting other Olympus entities such as Olympus Surgical Technologies America (OSTA) in their relationships with state-level trade associations such as MassMEDIC and MedicalAlley.
Overseeing and managing all Community Sponsorships (i.e. Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, etc).
Building positive strategic relationships with established key community influencers as well as identify and recommend opportunities that align with Olympus? Community Affairs strategy.
Overseeing and managing all Disaster Relief charitable efforts.
Developing a deep understanding of Olympus? business strategy, objectives and policies across all business divisions with emphasis on medical device, patient care and health care.
Opportunistically hosting key State and Local lawmakers, staff, and potentially agency representatives at Olympus US locations.
Managing all Community/ Government Affairs Olympus location visits throughout the United States.
Establishing and measuring KPIs and success of all Community Affairs programs and deliver presentations to senior management.
Assisting in the creation of a communication strategy in conjunction with Integrated Marketing Communications to ensure effective internal and external communications related to Community Affairs programs.
Managing accurate Community Affairs budgets and maintain compliance with Regional Control Framework and other controls including government report if necessary.
Ensuring compliance of all Olympus Community Affairs activities.
Participating in Global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Work Group and ensures alignment with global efforts.
Performing other essential duties as assigned.
Job Requirements::
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Public Administration or related field required. Equivalent knowledge and experience will be considered.
Minimum of 7 years of Community Affairs experience developing, organizing and implementing Corporate Philanthropy and Community Relations programs is required.
Demonstrated experience cultivating and maintaining positive corporate and community relationships required.
Ability to travel, domestically and internationally ( 30%).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working for an international company focused on healthcare and/or technology or other regulated sector preferred.
Excellent oral, written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management throughout the organization are essential.
Must be a collaborative team leader and relationship builder with the ability to work cross functionally who believes in the power of a positive work environment.
Must be exceptionally organized and prepared to work professionally in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment, effectively managing multiple programs and projects simultaneously while still paying close attention to detail.
Confident and engaging public speaking abilities are desired, including high comfort with presenting materials to internal and external audiences of various crowd sizes.
Innovative and creative with the ability to create engaging experiences for internal and external audiences.
Exceptional credibility, judgment and commitment to ethical business practices.
Strong financial stewardship.
Must be flexible with work schedule to accommodate attendance at or participation in community or corporate events outside of normal business hours or functions both locally and throughout the US, as needed (up to 30% overnight travel).
?Ability to create dynamic relationships-while being goal focused in a timely manner.
Must have PC knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The Senior Manager, Community Affairs is responsible for creation, implementation and maintenance of Olympus? Corporate Philanthropy, Community Relations and Corporate Sponsorship programs throughout North and South America (though primarily across the United States). The incumbent will collaborate with key internal stakeholders throughout the organization to perform required due diligence and create initiatives with qualified charitable organizations and community partners that complement our global purpose, company values and overall business objectives. These programs will create opportunities to tell the Olympus True to Life story, strengthen our brand, enhance our corporate reputation, foster employee engagement and drive meaningful impact in the communities in which Olympus employees live and work. He/She will serve as both an internal and external expert resource and champion for Olympus Community Affairs programs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
