Manager, Trade Compliance

Job Duties::
Manage and supervise OCA Trade Compliance (Import/Export) programs, policies and groups to ensure compliance to all relevant rules and regulations of the region and Olympus Corporate policies.
Lead the OCA trade compliance operations program, including but not limited to Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications, Sanctioned Country licensing determinations, restricted party screening, country of origin declarations, export control determinations.
Act as OCA point of contact for US Customs and Border Patrol, the Food and Drug Administration and OGA (including but not limited to US Census Bureau, Bureau of Industry and Security, Department of State) when addressing matters of trade compliance.
Maintain responsibility for OCA?s US Customs and Border Patrol Importer Self- Assessment and CTPAT program certifications along with company import and export manuals and policies.
Report and present to the Director of Trade Compliance and management on status of OCA Trade Compliance program, audit results, and planned improvement activities.
Structure the proper trade compliance (import/export) policies and procedures to meet business goals and customer needs for import and export activities.
Liaise with trade compliance officers to facilitate compliance with global, country specific and Olympus Corporate policies and regulations.
Provide guidance and assistance to global regional business units to support compliant policies and activities in relation to US trade policies and regulations.
Maintain responsibility for customs brokers performance and compliance to all applicable rules and regulations.
Conduct periodic reviews and audits of broker activities including but not limited to import and export filings, duty drawback filings, HTS classifications, Free Trade Agreement certifications and preferential filing statuses.
Conduct periodic assessments and monitoring of business units, customs brokers and supply chain service providers to confirm trade compliance policies are implemented appropriately.
Outline process improvements and implement policies and procedures to meet our stated goals and to provide for quick response/higher service levels to our customers, lead the move toward the integration of new and updated technology to meet the specifications for supply chain and logistics management.
Ensure Trade Compliance (Import/Export) staff is properly trained on Olympus policies, procedures, and is complying with all Corporate and Government requirements.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements::
(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED)
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in business administration, trade compliance (import/export) supply chain management, logistics or other relevant field of study and experience is required.
Minimum of 10 years experience of professional experience in a supply chain, logistics, or production control in a high volume environment is required.
Minimum of 5 years experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, or transportation role is required.
Minimum of 5 years people management experience is required.
Proficient knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes is essential.
SAP experience is a plus.
Familiarity with computerized supply chain or trade compliance programs is a preferred.
Ability to work well under pressure is necessary.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong analytical, multitasking, time management, and organizational skills with focused attention on detail are essential.
Exceptionally good customer service skills are necessary.

Center Valley, PA - The Manager, Trade Compliance (Import/Export) is responsible for leading, developing, implementing and maintaining OCA?s Trade Compliance programs and policies to ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. Government regulations concerning importing/exporting and Olympus Corporate Policies. The incumbent will provide strategic advice to the company on trade matters, orchestrate global export-import compliance perspective and be the OCA representative with all governmental regulatory agencies. He/She will interface with Legal, Supply Chain, Compliance and with external stakeholders involved with global trade.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
