Director of Inventory Management

Job Duties::
Manage and maintain control of multiple types and/or pools of inventory including demonstration and evaluation, service loaners, tradeshow and workshop, off lease returns, trade-in equipment, field and certified pre-owned.
Direct the creation of reports and analysis of data for event forecasts and future demand planning to facilitate supply management (alignment of inventory levels) as well as reverse demand forecasting via returns at the end of events.
Based on utilization analytics, optimize inventory of demo assets in the field versus regional/central warehouses, ultimately ensuring supply levels meet demand.
Full product life cycle management of demo inventory pool from product launch, growth, maturity and decline stages to effectively add demo inventory to the pool, manage it properly and remove it for obsolescence/excess through write offs.
Proactively manage demand of demo inventory needs to support order management (inventory check, allocation, back order fulfillment, prioritization and substitution).
Manage and monitor physical counts of field assets across OCA Sales and Marketing organization for MSG and SSG businesses.
Develops and implement additional controls where necessary to ensure the tracking and reporting of assets.
Cross functional project analysis to maintain or improve financial and inventory efficiency, accuracy and documentation.
Play an integral role in various activities of the Supply Chain team including creating, recommending, and leading new project ideas; disseminating and communicating project results; and providing thought leadership regarding the expansion of the Supply Chain program.
Interfaces on a close and regular basis with divisional staff in order to manage and provide direction for all of the inventory business processes involved in the completion of their work on the SAP and SFDC systems.
Ability to identify cause for errors and inconsistencies, and developing pragmatic but sustainable solutions that will help the business unit in improving and managing operations in relation to inventory management and reporting.
Provide leadership on inventory related processes, as well as lead cross functional teams to build a consensus for consistency and best practice.
Job Description:
Center Valley PA, Bartlett TN, or Southborough MA - The Director of Inventory Management will provide oversight, strategic leadership, and proactive inventory management of the demo inventory pool providing direction to the asset management department to ensure inventory systems are accurate as well as maintaining acceptable balances of capital and consumable assets to fulfill company needs. Provide a strong inventory management focused leadership within the team to support inventory management functions from a full inventory life cycle management perspective from support in the launch, growth and maturity stages to the decline (lower service levels, reduced inventory and eliminate excess/obsolete) as well as field inventory. He/She will ensure all Olympus compliance policies are adhered to through asset management procedures or standard practices. The position will be responsible for the understanding and analysis of all inventory processes and for leveraging this understanding to ensure that the OAI inventory data integrity is maintained and optimized. He/She will lead the creation of adequate data measurement and monitoring structures that meet the needs of senior management and ensure all areas are running at optimal efficiency to best serve the business.

Job Requirements::
(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED)
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience is required, MBA/Advanced degree is preferred.
Minimum of at least 8-10 years or progressively responsible work experience in asset management, operations, and inventory management is required.
Proven track record of successful inventory management and leadership ability is essential.
Extensive experience overseeing, recreating and resolving inventory integrity issues is desired.
Demonstrated ability to manage inventory life cycle is essential.
Experience in medical device industry with lot and serial control trace ability is a plus.
Must have the ability to work in a cross functional and fast- moving environment.
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization from employees on the warehouse floor to senior management is essential.
Advanced knowledge of the SAP ERP software package is desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential Ability to travel is desired.
