Center Valley, PA - The Product Manager, EndoTherapy will be responsible for product management and marketing of EndoTherapy devices. The incumbent, as part of the Marketing team, will participate in the development of annual and strategic marketing and business plans, create and execute marketing and sales programs to ensure that revenue and income targets are met and interface with customers, sales representatives and in-house stakeholders in support of the sale and marketing of products. He/She will provide all product management needs for assigned product lines on an individual basis. EOE M/F/D/V
Participate in the development of long and short-term marketing plans and strategies to increase revenue, maximize profit, and grow market share for assigned product lines.
Support the development of annual and corporate strategic business plans.
Provide product management support for product portfolio including participation in product review, R&D;, customer support, forecasting of units to be sold and the net selling price, inventory management (including field demonstration equipment, safety stock, loaner pool and phase-in/out of new & obsolete products) and setting and management of budgets.
Act as project manager and provides direction to the product launch team through all phases of product launch.
Coordinate activities of all internal and external groups, assuring that all launch criteria are met and that all marketing and sales materials are available.
Manage physician/surgeon Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships, always following OAI code of ethics and compliance guidelines.
Act as the product and procedure expert to drive large account conversions.
Interface with Olympus Tokyo and other business centers to provide relevant and updated market information as necessary.
Work closely with sales management to establish sales strategy, targeting, and promotion of assigned product lines.
Conduct field work including.
Organize and conduct workshops to promote the sale of the product.
Partner with customers to present the product to other potential customers.
Provide meeting and trade show support.
Work with sales representatives to understand the issues and obstacles in selling products as well as identify new opportunities.
Attend medical and industry conventions to meet with physicians and nurses to listen to their concerns, learn of competitor's products, and stay current with developments in the field.
Track and evaluate product performance and sales after product launch.
Monitor customer satisfaction with initial installations and use of the product.
Communicate closely with technical staff in the field on product performance issues.
Visit customer sites.
Lead user meetings to discuss product performance.
Document any performance problems of deficiencies noted.
Assemble, edit, and transmit all critical information back to Olympus Tokyo.
Monitor initial product sales and track against projected sales, revenue, and profit.
Develop and implement counter-trend strategies, e.g. special promotions, when sales are lower than projections.
Monitor and evaluate the competition's response to the new product introduction.
Initiate appropriate action to counter competitive activities.
Develop and execute a Marketing Communication plans with the Marketing Communication team.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

A Bachelors Degree in Marketing, life sciences or medical technology, or equivalent knowledge is required.
A MBA is preferred.
A Bachelor's Degree (as stated above) and 5-8 years of experience providing overall leadership in the market as well as evaluating a given market and assessing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and developing and implementing strategies is required; OR a Masters/MBA and 3-6 years experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree and 3 years Olympus experience combined sales/marketing/operations/sales support/upstream/R&D;/service is required; OR a Masters/MBA and 2 years Olympus combined experience as above.
Project Management experience is preferred.
Sales experience is preferred.
Experience in medical instrumentation and video imaging is preferred.
Must have ability to interact with field personnel, management and customers.
Individual must possess a high degree of self reliance, initiative and creativity.
Must have experience in developing and managing physician / surgeon KOLs.
Must have experience in launching new technologies and procedures.
Must have proven ability to develop and grow business based on 'procedure-focused sales'.
Must have ability to interpret trends and data, translating the information into actions and improvements.
Must have experience in interacting with a diverse cross functional team, strong prospecting skills, self starter, capable of independent action, detail oriented, multi-task/time management, ability to internalize technical concepts, products and services.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills at all levels.
Must be willing to travel (domestic and international) as required (generally 15-25%).
Must be able to work flexible hours as required.
Must have organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Must have high degree of personal organization.
Must have computer literacy.
