Position
Summary:
The position includes a combination of medical billing and payment posting.
Education/Qualifications Required:
Reviews and accurately posts patient payments and insurance payments Records payment batches in practice management system Submits claims to insurance companies for payment Works directly with the insurance company, the patient and healthcare provider to get a claim processed and paid Submits secondary billing in a timely manner with appropriate supporting documentation Manages proper submission of all documents in a timely fashion Demonstrates courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their families Reviews and appeals denied and unpaid claims Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2 years of previous billing and/or posting experience required including Medicaid/Medical Assistance Long-term care industry experience preferred but not required Strong knowledge of ICD 10/CPT coding (certification preferred but not required) Commit to the highest level of business and patient confidentiality possible adhering to all HIPAA and security guidelines when accessing and sharing patient information Job Type:
